In-Person Events Sales Manager
Build, train and lead the sales team at live CoinPicks events, from recruiting the team to on-site enrollment and follow-up.
Required experience
Proven experience building or leading an in-person event sales team is required, supported by specific results. Every candidate completes the full application, evidence review, interviews and practical work discussion.
The difference you can make
Build the sales team that helps event attendees turn a useful conversation into an informed next step with CoinPicks.
The role
Build the in-person events sales team from the ground up and lead it at CoinPicks events. Own sales hiring, training, staffing, on-site coaching, enrollment performance and post-event follow-up. Partner with the Events Manager, who owns event logistics, venues and production, and with the strategist managers on qualification, enrollment and onboarding. Event attendance and agreed travel are essential to this role.
What you’ll own
- Define the event sales team structure, recruit and assess representatives, and build onboarding, training and coaching that prepare them for live conversations.
- Create the event sales plan: staffing, shifts, conversation areas, lead capture, qualification, approved offers and clear enrollment handoffs.
- Lead the team on site, run pre-event briefings and daily debriefs, coach conversations and resolve sales issues as they happen.
- Own sales targets, forecasts and reporting on qualified conversations, enrollments, collected revenue, cancellations and event sales costs.
- Coordinate with the Events Manager on attendee flow and the run of show; ensure every lead and commitment reaches the CRM and the right follow-up owner.
- Review each event with leadership and use the results to improve staffing, training and the next event sales plan.
What you’ll bring
- Required: demonstrated success building or leading an in-person event sales team, including recruiting, training and on-site management.
- Evidence of personal live sales experience and team results, with event context, team size, time period and your contribution clearly explained.
- Strong consultative selling, live coaching, CRM discipline, forecasting and coordination with event operations.
- Ability to attend agreed events and travel, including some evenings or weekends; schedule and travel arrangements are agreed in advance.
- Judgment to explain education programs and prices accurately, support informed decisions and avoid pressure or investment-return promises.
Your first 90 days
- First 30 days: review the event calendar, define the sales team structure and propose a hiring, training, staffing and measurement plan.
- By day 60: recruit or assess the initial team, rehearse attendee conversations and establish CRM handoffs and the next event sales plan.
- By day 90: lead the next agreed event or complete readiness if its date is later, then review results and the next team-building priorities with leadership.
